oriented imagery
URL copiedShare URL
An image management system that projects the perspective view and location of content captured from multiple devices—such as pictures from personal or security cameras and images from drones, aerial, and satellite platforms—onto a map. Each device is geolocated within the map coordinate system using the location, field of view geometry information, and capture date, stored with the associated imagery. The viewing angles of oriented imagery may range from narrow to 360 degrees; images may be captured at a single point in time or sequentially, forming a video. Resolutions vary between devices, and orientations can be nadir, oblique, or horizontal.
