corridor

URL copied Share URL
  1. [network analysis] A defined path or area, often representing the lowest-cost route between two points. Corridors are used for planning linear features (roads and pipelines), analyzing environmental activity (animal migrations or emission plumes), and visualizing access (viewsheds). A corridor accounts for accumulated costs, such as terrain difficulty or barriers, and identifies optimal pathways.
