3D scene

URL copied Share URL
  1. [visualization techniques] An interactive view of geographic data that combines 2D maps with elevation data and 3D objects, such as buildings or terrain. 3D scenes are used to provide spatial context for planning, analysis (such as line of sight), and immersive experiences (such as real estate, virtual reality, or urban planning explorations). A feature in a 3D scene must have a height—or z-value—characteristic as a component of its spatial coordinates.
