Alternate Workflow

The default Z-min domain is exactly -10,000, which is insufficient for storing Buffer 3D's output when the buffer distance is greater than 100 km for source features whose Z value is 0. To create a GDB output, set the min Z domain to be lower than the lowest Z value that is expected in the buffer result. For example, if the lowest Z value in the features being buffered is -500m and a buffer distance of 101km is desired, the min Z domain should be set to a value lower than -100500.
