While utilizing the option of sharing, a stand-alone ArcGIS Server accessed on a web adaptor URL returns an error in connecting to Portal for ArcGIS if both components are installed on the same machine.

This is a known limit. Make use of the provided workarounds to proceed with workflows.Workaround
- Access ArcGIS Server or Portal for ArcGIS without the web adaptor (using 6443, 6080, 7443, and 7080).
- Use a web adaptor for ArcGIS Server or Portal for ArcGIS installed on a different host. This can be achieved by adding a different web server or adding another instance on Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) and configuring the web adaptor on it.
