While using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) pre-logic script codes in the Field Calculator, If the field name in a commented statement is incorrect or does not exist in the data, the application returns an error.

Workaround

1. Add the correct field name in the commented statement.2. Remove the field name braces from the commented statement.
