While using the field editor in ArcGIS API for JavaScript, the default values for coded domain values are not saved automatically in the feature template.

There are no plans to address this issue for an unsupported version.Workaround
Manually selecting the same coded domain value removes the red exclamation mark. Checking the REST endpoint, the coded domain values are saved in the feature template.
