While exporting a MS Excel 2007 table to a DBF table through ArcCatalog, the last digit of a numeric (double) field turns to zero.

Workaround

1. Export the table through excel (MS Office 2003) to dbIV2. Create a new DBF table in ArcCatalog and add a field type=double; with appropriate precision and scale settings to allow for numbers greater than 11 digits (as in the Excel table attached to this incident). The default Precision (15) and Scale (6) properties for the resulting DBF are not appropriate for the data being exported.
