When utilizing the search functionality to find an item in the ArcGIS Portal Directory, the resulting JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) using f=json in the URL address is not as the expected non-formatted JSON.

JSON requests are supported but a token must be provided. A token is required to access secured information. When a user is logged in to the ArcGIS Portal Directory and requests a JSON response, their session cookie is used to determine their authenticated access, thereby negating the need to append a token.Steps to Reproduce
