When using the Summarize function for statistics on a field of type short integer, and the calculation does not exceed the storage limit for the field, incorrect values are returned if the data has 5 digits and the output table format is DBF.

Workaround

Either use fields with a larger storage capacity or direct the output to a geodatabase table instead of DBF format.
