When using the Geoprocessing widget in Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS, users are required to make a selection even if the widget is set to use a feature layer, displaying the following message, "Please use selected features in this layer or draw shapes on map to limit features."

Draw a box around all features to select features, and then run the tool.
