When using the Esri Terrain image service as the input surface, the 'Add Surface Information' tool returns the following error message, "Error 999999: Something unexpected caused the tool to fail."

Workaround
Use the Image Analysis window to clip the image service based on the extent, and run the tool on the clipped raster. Workaround from BUG-000112503 is viable for the issue related in ArcGIS Pro 2.6.1 with rasters.
