When using the Copy geoprocessing tool in ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro on an enterprise geodatabase feature class participating in a relationship class with a table that has attachments enabled, the names of the copied attachment table (ATTACH) and attachment relationship (ATTACHREL) are erroneously changed.

Additional Information

The issue is reproducible between SQL Server and Oracle and between SQL Server and SQL Server.

Workaround

Workaround 1 only works for ArcGIS Pro while the other workarounds also work in ArcMap

  • Before running the Copy tool, change the names in the 'To' column.
  • In the Catalog pane, drag the FeatureClass from the first geodatabase to the second geodatabase.
  • Right-click the FeatureClass, select Copy, right-click the second geodatabase, and select Paste.
