When using the 10.5 CloudFormation template for a highly available deployment in a Windows 2012 R2 environment, the deployment finishes successfully, yet the installation of the Enterprise stack is installed on all three machines rather than just the primary and standby.

Additional Information

The same image is used for all Cloud Formation templates, therefore the software is installed but not activated or started.

Workaround

Since the CloudFormation template completes, the only work involved afterwards is uninstalling the full ArcGIS Enterprise stack from the third machine created, the file-server, then the configuration is completed.
