When using StreetMap Premium's Colombia locators to geocode addresses, the District field is empty when using Point Address role and returns the city name instead with the Street Address role.

The difference between the 2023 and 2024 locator results is due to a change in point address reference data for Colombia (from HERE 2023 to DANE 2024). The DANE 2024 data does not provide the district value; however, if the match falls back to the street address level, the district value will reappear since the street address data is sourced from TomTom. In this case, the district value will be displayed in the neighborhood field. Due to this data quality issue with the DANE dataset, the point address data source for Colombia is switching to TomTom. Implementation is planned for the March 2025 ArcGIS Online release and the Q1 2025 locator update in StreetMap Premium.Workaround
- To solve the empty field in the district field, turn off Point Address when geocoding.
- To get more values in the District field, turn off the Point Address role in the Categories parameter of the Geocode Addresses tool.
