When using an ArcGIS Online hosted view layer, the 'Show/Hide' field settings are not honored in the hosted view layer when a field is added to the parent hosted feature layer and republished.

Workaround

1. Open the item details page of the hosted feature layer view.
2. Navigate to Settings > Feature Layer (hosted, view) > and select Update View.
3. Select the layer and click Next.
4. Select the layer and click Fields.
5. Click Select Fields, check the checkmark next to the newly added fields and click Done.
6. Click the Back button and click Update.
7. Return to the item details page.
8. Click the Visualization tab.
9. Select Configure Popups > Configure Attributes, and check the Display box next to newly added fields.
10. Click Save Layer on the upper-right corner.
11. Click the Data tab and the fields are displayed on the Data tab.
