When using an ampersand (&) symbol in a user account password, the configureserviceaccount utility is unable to apply the password.

Additional Information

An ampersand (&) is used to separate multiple commands so if it is used, quotes must be provided.

Workaround

Place the password including the ampersand symbol within quotation marks. For example: "Siteadmin&1234"
