Bug
When using a polygon layer, changing the custom parameters to 'returnGeometry = false' and 'returnCentroid = true' does not create a configurable point layer. Instead, a configurable polygon layer is still displayed.

Changing a layer's geometry via custom parameters is not supported. Analysis tools are available to create centroids from a polygon layer.Workaround
Analysis tools are available to create centroids from a polygon layer. Additionally, smart mapping tools can be used to render the centroid.
