When using a distributed install and the Server Object Manager (SOM) machine is not added as a host for the ArcSOC.exe processes, the ArcGIS Services Directory Service Description page cannot be reached for services running on ArcGIS Server .Net on Windows Server 2008.

This issue is not reproducible in the current release of the software. If you are encountering this issue, please contact Esri Technical Support (for customers in the United States) or your Esri distributor (for customers outside the United States) to resolve this issue.

Workaround

Add the machine with the SOM install as a host of the ArcSOC.exe processes with a capacity of at least two.
