Bug

When user trying to publish image service to a standalone ArcGIS Server with registered folder connection, and user maps a network drive to a letter on their machine, the register folder window recognizes it correctly, but the publish image service window sees the letter drive as a different folder, leading to a "24011 Data source is not registered with the server and data will be copied to the server" error.

Additional Information

When assigning a drive letter, ensure the drive letter assignment is accessible consistently in the whole network. The drive letter assigned at the local machine level is not accessible to the network. In this case, use UNC paths to fulfill the workflow.

Workaround

  • Do not use the assigned letter as the network UNC path when it comes to registering the folder. Otherwise, ArcGIS Pro will recognize the letter drive as a different folder location, despite the letter drive being the UNC path.
  • When selecting a raster dataset, manually type the UNC path instead of using the letter drive.
