When uploading a zipped shapefile or file geodatabase, or publishing from ArcMap, if the feature class or layer name and title (or service name) are between 59 and 63 characters long, an orange error appears at the bottom left after enabling editing and displaying it in Map Viewer, and the points do not display

  • When uploading a zipped shapefile, ensure that the shapefile name and title are not between 59 and 63 characters long.
  • When uploading a zipped file geodatabase, ensure that the feature class name and title are not between 59 and 63 characters long.
  • When publishing from ArcMap, ensure that the layer name and service name are not between 59 and 63 characters long.
