Bug
When trying to edit a layer as a non-item-owner or non-admin, the layer symbology reverts to the original published symbology.

This is currently on purpose. Unique value renderer uses types and templates where all other renderers use only templates when creating new features. If the owner of the layer decided to force people to enter types (or templates), users are not allowed to change that.Workaround
- Create a group that has Access and Update capabilities enabled.
- Once created, share all items to access and update group.
- Add members to the group (make sure all users are level 2 users before adding into the group).
- Users and Publishers who do not own the content can edit layers and have the web map symbology honored.
