When the regional settings of the PC are set to decimal symbol ',' and digit grouping symbol '.' the Find Local Peaks Or Valleys tool returns the following error message, "could not convert string to float".

Workaround

  1. Change the computer regional settings to set the decimal symbol to '.' and the digit grouping symbol to ','.
  2. Alter the code inside the Python script located in: C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Pro\Resources\ArcToolBox\Scripts) and include a local module. For example: locale.setlocale(locale.LC_ALL, ' ').
