When the Oracle-specific SQL functions are used in a SQL expression of a definition query in ArcGIS Pro, if there are no matching records, an incorrect warning message is returned.

Unable to reproduce with the current software. The validate does not fail.Workaround
- Repeat steps 1 to 5 above in ArcMap 10.6.
- In step 5, notice that "The expression was verified successfully, but no records were returned" is returned (refer to the attached screenshot01).
