When the Attribute Table widget is open, clicking on a location that overlaps another point results in the pop-up to start with '2 of #' and '1 of #'.

This behavior is by design. From the user interface, the point symbol scale changes with the map scale. When selecting a point by mouse at the symbol, it is actually difficult to check on exactly on the point center (which means the exact point is hardly selected). By design, we select the feature within a certain buffer of where is clicked. So when zooming out at a large scale map, where the points symbol are very close, multiple features are selected when clicking on a data.Steps to Reproduce
