When the ArcGIS Server jobs directory is referenced through a Universal Naming Convention (UNC) path, a geoprocessing service's job messages indicate the scratch.gdb was incorrectly created in C:\Users\Worker1\AppData\Local\Temp.

Workaround

Do not use a UNC path to reference the jobs directory.
