Bug
When specifying a .tif as the output for the Extract Data Task tool and the input is a 3 band, 8-bit unsigned integer raster, the tool sets the output to a 16-bit integer raster so the outputted .tif shows up completely black in any software other than Esri software.

Additional Information
ArcGIS Desktop (including ArcGIS Engine and ArcObjects) is in mature support and will be retired March 1, 2026. Mature support means the end of functionality-based patches and hotfixes; therefore, this issue will not be addressed. There are no plans for future releases of ArcGIS Desktop, and it is recommended that you migrate to ArcGIS Pro.
