When specifying a field length for an integer or decimal question in the bind::esri:fieldLength column, the ArcGIS Survey123 field app does not allow inputs longer than the field length, although the ArcGIS Survey123 web app allows longer inputs.

Additional Information

The bind::esri:fieldLength column is used to set the number of characters for string fields only when publishing a survey. It is not intended as a character count specifier. Use a constraint using the string-length() function to alert users to avoid entering numbers longer than intended.

Workaround

Use the constraint column to specify the minimum and maximum length for integer or decimal questions.
