Additional Information

The ArcGIS World Geocoding Service supports both X,Y input as well as Y,X input. If only X,Y input should be supported, it can be restricted by creating a locator view which only supports X,Y input or passing in the category values which should be supported as a parameter of the REST API. Refer to https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/reference/geocode.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_BC67C473527D4AD4A51F24B5D1A6860C and https://developers.arcgis.com/rest/geocode/api-reference/geocoding-category-filtering.htm.

Workaround

  • Specify X: and Y: before coordinates. (For example, X: 6.2996, Y: 5.0215)
  • In the pop-up results, click Show more results and select the correct coordinate format.
