When search by layer is enabled on an ArcGIS Server map service added to web map in ArcGIS Online, using a partial search for a string field fails to return results in the Explorer for ArcGIS v17.1.1 (iOS) app.

Additional Information

Non-reproducible when testing with Explorer for ArcGIS v17.1.2 (iOS) app.

Workaround

Add feature layers from the map service, instead of adding the entire map service.
