Additional Information

The issue was in ArcMap and previous versions of ArcGIS Pro (prior to the 3.0 release). While the unit in the dropdown says Acres US, the conversion factor that was being applied was the same as Acres International. The Calculate Geometry Attributes geoprocessing tool was improved in ArcGIS Pro 3.0 to use the correct conversion factor, so the values produced by the US Survey Acres unit are accurate, but to match the ArcMap results, select International Acres. All area calculations prior to ArcGIS Pro 3.0 (including ArcMap) in geoprocessing tools use International Foot-based conversion factors. In ArcGIS Pro 3.0 there are new options to specify units as International or US Survey.
