Bug
When publishing a service to ArcGIS Online from a feature class in ArcMap, if a definition query of any kind is applied to a field with the name 'PRIMARY' or 'primary' (not case sensitive), the layer is displayed as blank in ArcGIS Online.

This issue will not be addressed in the current release cycle. If this is still a concern, contact Esri Support Services.Workaround
- Use a different field name if applying a definition query in ArcMap.
- Export selected records to a new feature class or shapefile with no definition query applied.
- Use the Filter option in ArcGIS Online once published.
