When overwriting a hosted table created via 'New item' in Portal for ArcGIS 11.1 from a Microsoft Excel file, the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) time offset set for the original hosted table is not maintained.

Workaround
Convert the Excel file to a CSV format prior to publishing and overwriting. The time zone set in the original publishing process remains maintained in the overwritten service.
