This defect is resolved in ArcGIS Pro 3.5. The Edit button and edit session no longer deactivate after running geoprocessing tools. For schema operations (tools that add or delete fields), the operation can be accomplished outside an edit session and the edit session can be re-enabled at the end of the schema operation.Steps to Reproduce
