When inserting an object into ArcMap (particularly a Microsoft Word document), have an option that allows the user to choose to retain the aspect ratio, as is already allowed when pictures are inserted.

Currently, we do not have plans to address this issue.

Workaround

Do not make changes to the inserted object (can't expand or collapse) then to enter the object and edit in Microsoft Word changing the font size and playing with page margins until the object fits in the layout view.
