When exporting map to PDF, with transparency set to the feature in the map, results in well defined jagged lines in the output PDF.

This is a known issue in ArcMap's Graphics Device Interface (GDI) based output engine. Use ArcGIS Pro as ArcGIS Pro does not have this limitation. https://support.esri.com/en/technical-article/000002772
