When entering an integer within an &DATA block in AML, the integer is interpreted as text, not a number, and an additional character is added so string length becomes 2 instead of 1.

Workaround

Three potential workarounds exist: 1. Specify the input using &ARGS when calling the AML 2. [UNQUOTE %value%]3. Count digits, then extract the necessary digits using SUBSTR.
