When editing the Portal for ArcGIS home page, editing the text in any link content block results in the deletion of the associated image, requiring it to be re-uploaded.

The issue has been fixed in ArcGIS Enterprise 11.5, which will be released in 2025 Q2.Workaround
Re-upload the images when a change is made to one of the links.
