Additional Information

Grid label placement is dependent on the properties of the grid and not the properties of the text. The positioning of grid labels is done through the Components tab on the Element Pane for the grid. These include Offset and Vertical. User can find more information from the following help topics: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/help/layouts/add-and-modify-graticules.htm https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/help/layouts/add-and-modify-grids.htm https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/help/layouts/mgrs-grids.htm https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/help/layouts/reference-grids.htm https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/help/layouts/custom-grids.htm While many Text Element properties are applicable to grid labels, such as font and color, the properties under the Position and Rotation groups on the General tab and most of the properties on the Formatting tab are not applicable.
