When editing an existing feature record in ArcGIS Experience Builder, the app does recognize the existing geometry unless the app is refreshed, or the 'Auto refresh' option is enabled for the layer.

Workaround
The existing geometry is not recognized by the ArcGIS Experience Builder app unless the app is refreshed or if the 'Auto refresh' option is enabled for the layer.
