When creating an ArcGIS Enterprise server connection for Big Data Store (BDS) in ArcGIS GeoEvent Server 10.8.1 and 10.9 with the Use Token option, the following error message is returned, "Invalid URL: Please provide a valid url for example: http://<hostname>:<port>/arcgis."

Workaround

When creating an ArcGIS Enterprise connection for Big Data Store (BDS), select Use Credentials. Example of configuration:

  • Type: ArcGIS Enterprise
  • Check the Use Credentials box
  • Credentials: The Portal credentials
  • URL: Portal URL
