Additional Information

The to_featurelayer() method generates a 6-digit alphanumeric string for the layer to name to guarantee the service name is unique, which it must be in an organization (whether that organization is deployed in ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise). The FeatureLayerManager.update_definition({"name":""}) method is designed for assigning a feature layer with a new name.

When creating a new feature layer using to_featurelayer via Spatially Enabled DataFrame, the service URL and layer name generated are automatically set to random alphanumeric characters.
