When creating a custom BDS layer that includes MPI variables, the resulting attribute table shows MPI variables that are zero.

Additional Information

Fixed in upcoming BA 10.1 release. Also, workaround is to manually add the Tapestry fields for use in calculations.

Workaround

After selecting MPI category/variables, select the option to include Tapestry Households and Adult categories. The resulting custom BDS layer will not show values for the MPI variables.
