When clicking an ArcGIS Survey123 custom URL link in the ArcGIS Field Maps app, the app is launched for a few seconds and then is directly closed. The device goes back to displaying the ArcGIS Field Maps app. If the ArcGIS Survey123 app is open in the background and the correspondent survey has been previously downloaded, this problem does not occur, and ArcGIS Survey123 is normally launched. The survey does not always need to be downloaded in advance, but the ArcGIS Survey123 app has to be opened, otherwise, the custom URL does not open from ArcGIS Field Maps.

This issue is not reproducible with ArcGIS Field Maps and ArcGIS Survey123. If the issue occurs, please contact Esri Support Services as additional information is required for further investigation.

Workaround

Open the ArcGIS Survey123 app and download the survey that is supposed to be opened when clicking the link.
Keep the app open and open ArcGIS Field Maps.
Add a new point (or click an existing point), and click the link.
The ArcGIS Survey123 app opens directly after clicking, and the survey can be filled in.

The issue is not reproducible with iOS devices.
