When ArcGIS Pro is installed on a machine with Data Interoperability for Server installed, the geoprocessing tools return the following error message, "Tool has failed to open."

Workaround

Uninstall Data Interoperability for ArcGIS Server or install Data Interoperability for ArcGIS Pro. The latter installation allows all geoprocessing tools to successfully open, despite no documentation pointing to Data Interoperability for Server would impede regular geoprocessing function.
