When an administrator creates an ArcGIS Online account using the Add members without sending invitations option, the administrator can input a last name that is more than 40 characters. Doing this will cause the account to not be able to access Esri training even when MyEsri access is enabled.

The development team has considered the issue and concluded it will not be addressed. If this is still a concern, contact Esri Support Services.

Workaround

Change the last name in ArcGIS Online profile to be less than 40 characters and then disable and re-enable Esri access.
