Bug

When adding an ArcGIS Online hosted feature layer containing a single sublayer, or a view created from the layer, and is originally published from ArcGIS Pro to a map from a portal connection in the Catalog pane, the sublayer's name is displayed in the Contents pane by default instead of the item's title.

Additional Information

Feature layer items can have multiple sublayers, therefore the layers are added with the sublayer name and not the item's title.

Workaround

  • In ArcGIS Online, rename the sublayer. For instructions, refer to https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/manage-data/manage-hosted-feature-layers.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_C8FBC73B2DB44EF09AB7DE27328A4794.
  • In ArcGIS Pro, modify the name from Layer Properties in the Contents pane. Right-click the layer > Properties > General > Name and modify the name.
