When adding a report to a map document, if the group headings use the default, or any colored background, the group headers do not print or export.

Workaround

Do not use the default grou header style. Change it to text with bold, larger size or underlines to compensate.Export the report to PDF, Insert the PDF as an object into your map layout. This option only works for single page reports, but will export properly.
