When a 'select one field' type is set as a relevant question and contains more than approximately 6,000 choices, the form fails to publish with the error, "Publishing error. code: 499. Error transferring https://survey123.arcgis.com/api/beta/xform2webform - server replied: Proxy Error."

Additional Information

Survey123 Connect app now provides the option to not create the web form on publishing a survey. Disabling this option enable a user to publish a survey that contains a choice list of over 6,000 in length.

Workaround

Edit the Survey123 form to contain a smaller choice list.
