When a Map widget is placed within another Map widget (with multiple maps) in ArcGIS Experience Builder, the following error is returned when attempting to switch between the maps: "Failed to execute 'insertBefore' on 'Node': The node before which the new node is to be inserted is not a child of this node."

Workaround

Keep the two Map widgets separate. Place the small Map widget next to the big Map widget, and enlarge the bigger Map widget to overlap the small Map widget. Use the Style tab of the small Map widget to move this if required.
